You in the Community

Our focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is going from strength to strength... We're reducing our carbon footprint in a number of innovative ways, and fulfilling our mission to support charitable causes as part of our commitment to the community we work in.
"A person-centred support approach is the lifeblood of our work. This is why our partnership with You is the perfect match, because everything they do is centred around people too. Together, through volunteering, fundraising and skill swapping, we will make a lasting impact across Oxfordshire"

– Jo Faulkner-Harvey,
Head of Fundraising and Communications

Our Charity Partner

Homeless Oxfordshire is the largest provider of supported temporary accommodation for homeless adults in the county. Each night they accommodate 220 people. But Homeless Oxfordshire is more than bricks and mortar. Through ten innovative projects, they provide the person-centred support people need to recover from homelessness for good.
You are proud to support Homeless Oxfordshire and we regularly fund raise for them through cake sales in the office. We have also participated in a charity bike ride and half marathon to raise money as well as regularly volunteering our services in the kitchens.

Sobell House

You are incredibly proud to support Sobell House through our B4 membership within the NEXUS programme. Sobell House is a hospice based on the Churchill Hospital site and is part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and offer specialist palliative care to those facing life threatening illness, death and bereavement in Oxfordshire.

We are supporting Sobell House in gaining a wider exposure to the business community in Oxfordshire to grow their networks and enhance fundraising opportunities.

Making a sustainable connection within the community

Community is at the heart of what we do both as a business and in our personal lives. We’re firm believers in supporting local and are members of numerous local business support groups. We are always involved in a community project of some sort – whether it’s a charity 10km run, a cake sale or an auction to raise money for a school library bus – because giving back is one of the core reasons You was founded. Charity and Community begins at work! Together we can make a difference…

Making a sustainable connection within the community is at the heart of You!

We are not limited to just one chosen Charity Partner… Since our establishment in 2009 to date, we have supported as good will:
Work as a partner with DWP (Job Centre+) Offender's programme to assist delegates in getting back into work
Supported local schools with Career Fairs, Career Advice, CV workshops, mentoring, and Interview Preparation for students
Significantly contributed to the Jubilee Sailing Trust campaign and helped to raise over £1m in just one week!
Facilitated Apprenticeship and Work Experience placements for Style Acre clients (as well as the odd abseil, and charity run)
Raised nearly £6k for Alzheimer’s UK through doing the London Marathon
Gifted time and products to charity clients
Gave more than 200 hours of free support to those that needed our assistance the most during the COVID pandemic
Provided indemnified expert HR & OD advice and guidance to organisations needing support, yet unable to fund what was required
Offered free places on our e-learning programmes as part of the Academy’s pilot scheme, for charities we support
Taken on Trustee responsibilities with charity and community organisations
Granted paid time off to the team to invest in volunteering
And we’re still looking at ways to give back…
