Rehabilitation, a journey of success

Ensuring our clients at You HR experience a service that meets their organisational and people needs, holistically and uniquely, is a vital part of their journey of success. This is demonstrated through the results we achieve and growth we enable through great people management practice, and progress in the right direction.

We are deeply proud of how we live our values of listen, understand, action and achieve - they drive us to deliver with purpose and relish in the satisfaction our outcomes give us and our clients.

Read You HR’s case study, produced in collaboration with one of our Consultancy provider partners (to read our partners write-up on this collaborative case study click here).

This case study outlines You HR’s approach to reach our clients desired outcomes from a health and wellbeing perspective whilst enabling them to model what best practice looks like as a good employer.

The Results

SpecialEffect achieved their objective of being able to support and retain their employee along with their knowledge and passion for the work their employer provides. A new permanent role was created, supported by a trialled return to work and use of accessibility software options. The employee has successfully returned to work and is once again contributing their knowledge and expertise in the workplace.

“We are so pleased we involved an occupational health adviser on the recommendation of You HR; the service was invaluable from both organisations. Dr Green was personable and professional, listening to us to understand our thoughts and aims, she talked through what she found and essentially brought the report to life.  Her report was accessible and most important – actionable.  It was clearly tailored to the employee and our organisation.  It confirmed our thoughts and gave us the confidence to set up a return-to-work plan; it also contained advice on things we hadn’t thought of. She respected our own knowledge and really listened to us and the employee.  She looked at the impact of the stroke rather than just the diagnosis and recognised the uniqueness of the employee’s situation. We are so pleased to have our employee back and on reflection would have referred to occupational health sooner.”

- SpecialEffect.

And feedback from the employee confirms both the impact Cordell Health and You HR had, as well as what it means to be back in the workplace:

“Returning to work means everything to me. It’s the difference between looking forward to getting up on the workdays rather than being really miserable. It makes me feel as if I have somewhere to go to, have friends and makes me feel useful. The advice was really good and gave me an extra bit of confidence and led me to a place where I feel quite comfortable. Dr Green seemed like an extension to the SE team. Although I didn’t know her, she was like a colleague, someone who genuinely cared.”

- SpecialEffect employee.

You HR Consultancy and Cordell Health were delighted to receive such positive feedback on the results achieved from this case and the successful return to work. It clearly demonstrates the power of partnership and collaboration, and all that that can be offered to our clients, enabling You HR’s strapline to come to life #itsallaboutthepeople.
