Job Summary:

BLEP ambition is to bring about sustainable economic growth for the County through the implementation of a Local Industrial Strategy, Economic Recovery Plan and Skills Action Plan.

Buckinghamshire LEP’s Enterprise Zone (EZ) Manager is responsible for the management and growth of the three Buckinghamshire Enterprise Zone sites, reporting to the EZ Board.    

The EZ Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on the BEZ Business Plan and will lead, co-ordinate and execute actions to meet the BEZ Board’s objectives, including site development strategies future investment and government reporting.

The EZ Manager will report regularly to the Buckinghamshire Enterprise Zone (BEZ) Board on project progress, financial matters and the EZ Budget, and will seek BEZ Board approval to project / programme proposals as necessary to support the delivery of the BEZ Business Plan.

The EZ Manager will work with key stakeholders to facilitate the growth and development of businesses located at the EZ sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be the principal professional advisor to the EZ Board and to service the Board’s meetings and activities and any supporting working groups.
  • To lead the implementation of the BEZ delivery programme as outlined in the BEZ Business Plan and to further develop the programme over the medium / long term.
  • To develop and appraise investment opportunity business cases to utilise EZ retained rates income, providing recommendations to the EZ Board for approval.
  • To procure, appoint and manage consultants where necessary to obtain key advice in support of the EZ programme.
  • To procure all necessary support services to advance the delivery of infrastructure on the BEZ sites (new infrastructure may include but is not limited to the new highway and transport access, site servicing and site preparation, digital infrastructure, innovation, R& D floorspace and educational / skills facilities where these support local business priorities).


  • It's essential that you have a professional qualification or an equivalent experience to the job role.
  • It is desired that an applicant has a degree in a related subject however this isn't essential.
